"The Space Between Us" [2006 ©] is a three monitor installation of two people breathing in and out; blowing air to one another. The outer monitors have a video head-shot of the male and female breathing and the inner monitor shows a video of the space bewteen them, with dust particles moving in response to their breath*.
This piece aims to highlight the interconnectedness of our evironment: even as little as a breath changes the world around us, making it move and adapt with our movements. It also expresses the unspoken bonds and dynamic energy of two people in a relationship.
